The Department of Social economics is one of the seven departments working within the Department of Economics of Ghent University. She is responsible for education, research and service in the field of social economy.
The field of social economy is very wide. Besides the fundamental disciplines of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, the activities of the department focuses on employment and labor, income, social security, public finance and fiscal policy, the determinants of economic growth and public economics. This website shows how each of these subdomains by the Department of Social Economy is actually concrete outlined.
